Account template creation - Budget

StepThis 2:step defines Budgetthe budget limits for leases using this template.

On

1. Define if you want a maximum budget to be enforced for the leases. By default, this flag is optional (You can define templates with no budget limits), but platform administrators can enforce this flag to be set to "Yes". (e.g: Enforce maximum budget)
2. Define the Budgetmaximum budget amountpage,. completeThis value is in USD.
3. Define the requiredaction fields. See Choosingwhen the right budget configuration for more information.

   • If you select Set a maximum budget, enter a value in Maximum Budget Amount field. The budget is measuredreached. You can either:

     • Wipe the account: This delete all resources and remove access to the users.
       • Pros: Stop incurring cost
       • Cons: Some data may be lost as the resources will be deleted.
     • Lock account: Remove access to end users but keep the resources and data
       1. Pros: Data and resources remain. Administrators and managers can access the account.
       2. Cons: Resources still incur cost in $USD.the ThisAWS willaccount.

Note: The maximum budget you can set is limited by the maximum budget set in the Global configuration set by the administrator of your Sandbox Studio environment.

• When you set a maximum budget (1) a threshold is automatically created for you (2). This threshold will wipe (3) the account once that budget is reached.

Default threshold when a budget is set

• Addsome thresholds dependingare on your use case. To add a threshold (1), click Add an Action. Enter a value in $USD and select an action (2) to perform when that value is reached.met. You can choosedefine anthose actionthresholds fromand Sendactions Alert or Lock Account.  They can be used to keep track ofin the spending"Actions" and take action if necessary.
